NCA Students Enthusiastically Participate in Listening Class Featuring Taylor Swift’s Song “Love Story”

Mojokerto-NingsihNews-The learning atmosphere at Nusantara Center Academy (NCA) tutoring center was filled with excitement on Saturday afternoon, (November 1, 2025). Unlike the usual lessons, this session brought a fresh vibe as students eagerly took part in a Listening activity featuring Taylor Swift’s popular song “Love Story”. 

The activity, held from 3:30 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. WIB, became a joyful learning moment for the students. The popular song was used as listening material to help them improve their listening comprehension and expand their English vocabulary.

As soon as the song started playing, the classroom atmosphere immediately became lively. The students looked focused while listening to the lyrics and writing down the words they heard to fill in their worksheets. During the activity, some students were seen having light discussions about words that were not clearly heard. One of the students even commented that some parts of the song sounded fast and were difficult to understand.

“ Belajar pakai lagu itu seru banget! Memang ada beberapa kata yang susah, tapi justru bikin penasaran dan pengen tahu artinya,” ujar salah satu siswa dengan semangat.

(Learning through songs is really fun! Some words are hard, but that makes me curious and want to know their meanings) said one of the students enthusiastically.

According to the teacher, using song is one of the creative ways to help students not only understand the structure of the language but also enjoy the learning process.

“Saya ingin mereka menikmati musiknya, mereka lebih mudah memahami dan mengingat kosakata baru,” jelasnya.

(I want them to enjoy the music, when they do, they can more easily understand and remember new vocabulary,”) the teacher explained.

This activity proved that listening lessons don’t always have to be stiff and monotonous. By combining music with learning, students can practice listening in a more relaxed yet effective way. The enthusiastic learning atmosphere in the NCA classroom that afternoon became proof that learning can be enjoyable when presented in the right way. (PN)
