Mojokerto, Septi News — The English Language Education Study Program (TBI) at KH. Abdul Chalim University (UAC) held its annual event titled UGrowth Vol. 2 with the theme “Exploring Unity, Embracing Diversity.” This event served as a forum for character building, collaboration, and awareness of the importance of diversity among students.

The opening ceremony was held at the New UAC Building, before all participants moved to Alas Veenus, Trawas, to take part in the main session, which was designed to take place in an open-air setting. This setting provided a space for students to build rapport, engage in discussion, and hone their teamwork skills in a more relaxed and interactive atmosphere.

The chief organizer, M. Agustiawan, emphasized that the event aimed to shape students to be inclusive and appreciate differences.

“We want to ensure that our friends not only learn English as a formal academic subject, but also understand global values—that diversity is strength. This is not just a gathering, but a process of growing together,” he said.

The event was also attended by TBI lecturers, namely Nurul Azizah Ria Kusrini, M.Pd., Pungky Ramadani, M.Pd., Lestari Budianto, M.Pd. Gr., and Sri Surya Dewi, M.Pd. M.A. Their presence provided moral support as well as important insights into the importance of cross-cultural communication, empathy, and openness for prospective language educators.

The series of events included sharing sessions, collaborative games, and reflections on the value of togetherness. The participants' enthusiasm was evident throughout the activities, demonstrating that learning experiences do not only take place in the classroom, but also through social interaction and direct experience.

UGrowth Vol. 2 reaffirmed TBI UAC's commitment to preparing students who are adaptive, visionary, and able to celebrate diversity as part of their global identity. The event closed with one strong message: differences are not obstacles—they are assets for moving forward together. (NS)
