Dlanggu Village Carnival Enlivens the 80th Independence Day Celebration
Jasmin News, Mojokerto — To celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Dlanggu Village held a carnival participated in by four hamlets: Dlanggu, Sroyo, Segaran, and Kademangan. The event took place joyfully from 9:00 a.m. until the afternoon on Sunday (31/07/25). In addition to the parade, the committee also provided raffle prizes for the carnival participants.
One of the carnival participants, a representative from Karang Taruna RT 03 Dusun Dlanggu (the local youth organization), shared their enthusiastic experience.
“I joined the carnival representing the Youth Organization of RT 03, Dlanggu Hamlet. For the costumes, the women wore kebaya while the men wore Youth Organization T-shirts. Everyone worked together to prepare for the carnival,” they said.
They also expressed their happiness about performing in front of the community.
“Performing in front of a large crowd was really fun and exciting. The best part was that everyone young and old, even children took part in making the event a success,” they added.
Throughout the event, the atmosphere remained safe and orderly without any significant issues. They also hoped that similar events would be held again next year with even greater festivity.
This annual carnival is expected to continue serving as a moment of togetherness among Dlanggu residents while strengthening the spirit of nationalism among the younger generation. (JN)
